Balthasar Ress 2020 Hattenheim Riesling

The 2020 Hattenheimer Riesling presents itself, like the wine-growing village of Hattenheim itself, as elegant and expressive. In the glass, it appears in a bright lemon yellow. On the nose, summery notes of fig, quince and strawberry, paired with tart peach and candied lemon, whet the appetite for more. The taste is reminiscent of a sea of flowers with its fine, floral tones. The finish is reminiscent of grapefruit and apple. The exciting interplay of sweetness and elegant acidity awakens the appropriate drinking flow and gives this Riesling that certain something extra.
