Geologists ensure that the natural ecological balance of flora and fauna is maintained while working. Rare birds such as the kingfisher or the bank swallow happily settle in the Biokat’s mines for breeding. After mining has been completed, Biokat’s and the local conservation societies recultivate the mined area. This leads to the formation of valuable natural habitats and mixed woodland.
