Inspired by brewers in the 1800's to win over the Russian Czar, this is the king of stouts, boasting high alcohol and plenty of malt character.

Appearance is deep black with a tan coloured head. The aroma offers some roast coffee and cocoa nib with both sherry and whiskey notes. A rich mellow taste on the palate with coffee and bitter chocolate from the dark roasted malt. The high alcohol content is balanced by the malt and intense sherry barrel flavours. The rich full body finishes with the slightest hint of dry Sherried-fruit.

Aging for four months in Oloroso Sherry Cask which has held “The Whistler” range of whiskies for 2 years and bottle conditioning has extracted complex vanilla and spice notes and added a gentle carbonation to this special edition Imperial Stout. This complex beer evolves in the glass evoking different notes and aromas of spice, caramel, chocolate and coffee.
