Cátulo Tinto Organic
Cátulo Tinto Organic is a blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo, Merlot and Syrah grapes from +35 yeards-old vineyards in DO Navarra.
The wine is fruity and floral. The aromas are tinged by its spicy notes. It is also expressive, fresh, with nerve, consistent, tasty and large. On the palate, it is friendly, balanced, with medium body.
This project, led by the couple of oenologists Virginia Arranz and Juan Glaría, was born in 2004 in the Baja Montaña region of the DO Navarra with the challenge of recovering the authochtonous Garnacha Atlántica variety as the identity of this wine region.
The name of the winery (La Casa de Lúculo: "the house of Lúculo") comes from a book written by Julio Camba and published at the beginning of the XX Century. La Casa de Lúculo is all about the pleasures around a table: good food and wine, good company and good respectful communication, good manners, a culture that Mr. Camba feared would disappear. With this in mind, at La Casa de Lúculo winery we work with maximum respect for the environment and produce wines that reflect their terroir. Both, wine and winery, are organic certified. Cátulo is a Roman name that appears in the Camba's book.
