Fructose

Fructose is a naturally-occurring simple reducing sugar, found in many foods, such as fruit, honey and vegetables. In the last 20 years it has been widely used to sweeten foods and beverages. It is the most natural alternative to sucrose (table sugar) and synthetic sweeteners (e.g. aspartame). It gives a sweet, delicate and pleasant taste to foods and beverages.
