GEWURTZRAMINER CHASSEUR DE LUNE BESTHEIM
Gewurztraminer is one of Alsace's four noble grape varieties, and probably the most widely-celebrated. Its name literally translates as "Spicy Traminer." The wines in the Classic range are made with grapes which satisfy strict quality criteria, following rigorous selection by our oenologists during the harvest. The aim is to craft quintessential Alsace wines, true classics!
Tasting notes
A pale yellow robe with flashes of gold. An elegant, aromatic bouquet with hints of lychee, exotic fruit and a dash of spice (pepper). Full-bodied and fruity on the palate. A smooth opening, with the return of the distinctive aromas found in the nose. A jaunty freshness completes the overall sense of harmonious balance.
Food-wine pairings
This Gewurztraminer is ideal with Asian cuisine and strong cheeses (Munster, Roquefort etc.), and just as good with crème brûlée or apple tarts (or even doughnuts).
