Granspeck & Asiago cheese Italian Antipasto
Our Granspeck is made in Sossano (Vicenza) and is "alto di fetta" (large slice Speck). It comes from the careful selection of pork legs shaped to have the perfect balance between the lean and fat portion. The result is a special "double muscle" speck, thicker than usual in size, thus softer in texture and sweeter in taste. After being seasoned with a selection of spices, this speck is gently smoked over real beechwood chips (it is not treated with liquid smoke), which conveys a sweet and refined flavour, and then aged over 6 months, twice as normal speck.
In this traysealer tray we have paired it with another speciality of the Veneto region: P.D.O. Asiago cheese. It has a fresh, milky, slightly floral smell, with a sweet and pleasant taste. A perfect match with our savoury Granspeck.
