Grimbergen Caractère Abbey Cheese, made since 2012 by Abbey Food, matured slowly resulting in refined taste with nutty hints.

This cheese is a Belgian Certified Abbey Cheese, meaning that all products are developed in close cooperation with the abbey and and a royalty for each cheese sold is paid. This is similar for the Brewery and therefore we share the same logo.

This cheese is lower in fat and salts (339 kcal & 1,4g salt/100g) compared to traditional cheeses. Thanks to the sweeter nutty taste resulting from the ripening process, it is also popular with children
