What is Persian silk tree? 

Albizia julibrissin, the Persian silk tree, pink silk tree, or mimosa tree is a tree native to southwestern and eastern Asia. Its leaves slowly close during the night and during periods of rain, the leaflets bowing downward; thus its modern Persian name shabkhosb means "night sleeper". In Japan it is called nenenoki which  means "sleeping tree". Albizia julibrissin is a  tree with a broad crown of level or arching branches, growing to 5–16 m. Its bark is dark greenish grey, becoming vertically striped with age. It flowers bloom throughout the summer.  The flowers resemble starbursts of pink silky threads. The origin of Albizia julibrissin are Iran, Azerbaijan, China and Korea, but now it is widely planted all over the world in parks and gardens due to its beuaty.
