K1 Shiraz 2017

Story: The K1 Shiraz reflects the generosity of the K1 vineyard ‘terroir’ on the Shiraz variety.

Vintage: Spring and summer were cooler than normal with above average rainfall and the 2017 vintage happened much later than usual. The combination of those factors and dry weather for most of the harvest resulted in higher yields and excellent quality across regions.

Nose: The K1 Shiraz offers vibrant aromas of cool climate berries and spice.

Palate: The palate is tight, concentrated and complex with notes of plums and cherries.

Food Pairings: The K1 Shiraz is always perfect with a hearty beef bourguignon.

Oak Maturation: 30% new French oak for 18 months.
