Kumala Sauvignon Blanc - South Africa

Surrounding South Africa's legendary table mountain is a place of lush fertility and natural beauty. This is the home of Kumala, where we make quality wines that are full of character. Consumers can expect exceptional wines from the 2017 vintage due to a combination of very dry conditions and ideal cool weather during harvest time. The growing season was characterised by cooler nights and warm, drier days. This great variation between day and night temperatures during the ripening stage, led to good colour and flavour formation, which are indicative of remarkable quality wines. In most regions, harvest commenced on time. In general, the warm, dry weather resulted in smaller berries with good intensity and very healthy vineyards with limited occurrence of pests, disease and rot.
