La Granja 360 Tempranillo-Garnacha
La Granja 360 Tempranillo-Garnacha is a red wine made of Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes from DO Cariñena.
DO Cariñena is situated 56 km south east of Zaragoza, in Aragón, in the Iberian mountains between the Campo de Cariñena Valley and the Ebro River. The DO area covers 50.000 hectares and it has a long viticulture tradition with a wealthy culture heritage from the Mudejar period. Generally the climate is arid with low annual rainfall. Summers are dry and sunny, while winters are cold. The area is also affected by a wind called "Cierzo" which contributes to the dryness of the climate. Soils are poor and stony (mainly limestone). Vineyards are found at an altitude of 400 - 800m.
Dark ruby coloured. On the nose, it offers mainly red cherry accompanied by a whiff of incense. On the palate, the wine is ripe and tasty given that it is aged for 2 months in oak barrels.
Granja in Spanish means "farm" and this wine takes part of a wine range that includes 5 different wines.
