Teas grown and produced in Nepal have been until recently compared to Darjeeling teas. Due to the similar climate and height above sea level, they were even sold under the name of their neighbors. For several decades, Nepaese tea producers have been successfully trying to create their own style, inspired by Japanese and Taiwanese production techniques.
