The Isigny Sainte-Mère range of milk powders is made of milk from the Isigny terroir. As a result, the range offers similar flavour advantages to the Co-operative's fresh products, coming as it does, from the same raw materials. They are, of course, subjected to the same demanding quality and traceability requirements as every other Isigny product. The first ever spray drying tower in France was installed at Isigny in 1947 and in 1982 the Co-operative commissioned the country’s first ever Multi Stage Drier (MSD). Today we have six drying towers, which allows us to meet high levels of demand and varied output. As an indicator of our quality and hygiene standards, our infant formula milk powder was the first to have been sold through pharmacies.
Our Four Main Activities
1. Standard milk powder : Packed in 25kg sacks, our standard range comprises skimmed, semi-skimmed and whole milk powders. They are sold to industrial users, such as dairy processors, ice cream manufacturers, chocolate makers, confectionery and biscuit makers, as well as caterers.
2. Instant milk powders : These powders have won Medals at the Concours General for their taste when reconstituted, which has been preserved despite the industrial process. Our instant milk powders are offered with fat in dry matter contents of 0%, 14% and 26%. The range is particularly well suited to vending applications.
End uses :
Vending machines,
Mass market instant milk powders packed in sachets or cartons
3. Special formulations : Isigny Sainte-Mère formulations are the result of rigorous preliminary studies. They are conceived to meet the needs of the most complex and rigorous users.
End uses :
Base ingredients for baby milk powders
Ingredients to be recombined for drinking milks
Confectionery and biscuit making ingredients
Other specific needs...
4. Baby formula milks and special diet milk powders : The quality and richness of Isigny milk is combined with the most modern production techniques. The process manuals for our infant formula milks are extremely rigorous and detailed. These milk powders are subjected to at least 250 tests from raw material selection to finished product.
End uses :
First and second stage baby milks
Milk formulated for growing children
Lactose-free and pre-acidified milk powders
Milks formulated for mums-to-be and pensioners
Special dietary formulations: milks enriched with minerals and trace elements
