NOBLIS, Barrel-Aged Chardonnay
The name NOBLIS is a play on words, combining Chablis, Burgundy’s northernmost wine region, renowned for Chardonnay marked by purity, acidity and complexity, and the English word “noblesse,” referring to nobility and aristocratic refinement.
The oak influence is clear and immediately perceptible on the nose, distinguishing it from a fresh, tank-aged Chardonnay.
Aromas of ripe citrus, ripe pear and bergamot tart are layered with yellow flowers, vanilla and subtle spice, alongside flinty notes reminiscent of gunflint, struck stone and an extinguished match.
On the palate, the wine is rich and creamy, with an elegant texture that does not overwhelm the acidity supporting the fruit.
The oak is well integrated, contributing honeyed and spicy notes to a long, savoury finish.
