Pecorino Saracino and Ricotta
€ Core price
The historic Locatelli brand of Pecorino Romano cheese is produced by Auricchio and exclusively sold in the United States by The Ambriola Company Inc. Locatelli Pecorino Romano is America’s favorite pecorino cheese and, along with Auricchio Provolone, is synonymous of Italian quality, tradition and flavor in the United States.
Pecorino Romano is the type of Italian cheese that is imported most in the United States. Made with sheep’s milk, it is aged for over eight months and acquires its distinctive flavor that makes it ideal for numerous recipes, for grating or for eating in slices. Pecorino Romano has existed for millennia – it was even given to the ancient Roman legions as rations - and has rightfully become one of Italy’s most important traditional cheeses.
Pecorino Romano Locatelli cheese comes in 22 kg (normal sized) and 26 kg (giant) cheese wheels and is also sold in packaged quarter portions of 7 kg. It can be ordered from our US distributor also in wedges or in small pieces that are packed in trays for grating and shredded (fixed weight).
