Bees make propolis by gathering natural resin produced by trees as part of their defence system. Honeybees collect the resin, mix in beeswax and enzymes, and use it to seal the hive.

Propolis contains high levels of a range of bioflavonoids. Comvita®’s PFL® stands for Propolis Flavonoid Level and refers to the flavonoid content found in 1mL of Propolis Extract. PFL® 15 delivers at least 15mg of Propolis flavonoids per 1mL.

The extract is alcohol free and designed for internal use.
