Founded in 1904, Verdannet is a familly owned company – 3rd generation - located in the Savoie region in the Alps mountains.
Verdannet is specialised in the production of the 3 AOP/PDO of Savoie, and recognised for its high quality and traditional cheeses.
CHEESE HISTORY
Tomme de Savoie is a French cheese coming, as its name suggests, from Savoie. Tomme de Savoie is a cheese from the Savoie Mountains. Originally made by peasant families to subsist off, this is undoubtedly the oldest of the Savoie cheeses. It is part of the economic and cultural heritage of both Savoies.
OUR PROMISES
Tomme de Savoie is a cheese of very delicate quality.
It tastes like no other. The markings “Tomme de Savoie” on this cheese are added all around the rim by laser.
OUR SPECIFICITY
Unpasteurised milk for some, and heat-treated for others.
