San Daniele del Friuli, a small village lying in north-eastern Italy about a hundred kilometres from Venice, has been producing one of Italy’s best dry cured hams, San Daniele Ham, since Roman times. San Daniele ham is made ONLY from Italian pork legs coming from Italian born, reared and slaughtered pigs, salt, air and time. No other added ingredient or preservative. Montasio is a semi-hard, cooked-curd cheese made exclusively with cow's milk harvested in the area of production, in the regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto, Northern Italy.
