Our cacao comes from Brazil. Since 2000, 30 members of the cooperation Cabruca in Brazil (Bahia) have been active as organic certified manufactures of the finest high quality cacao. These locals practice organic agriculture, free of pesticides and genetic manipulation. By preserving the old cacao culture, employment has been created. Besides, this way of working also protects the rainforest. The cacao powder from Raw Organic Food is produced at low temperature (<46 C), which allows for more nutrients to be kept in the actual cacao powder.
