SteriDrop™ Tube for preservative-free formulations

Ophthalmic Multidose Dropper Makes Preservatives Obsolete Preservatives in Eye Care formulations, such as Benzalkonium Chloride (BAC), can lead to side effects with chronic use. The SteriDrop™ tube combines the trusted barrier properties of Polyfoil® tubes with the Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser (OSD) device from Aptar Pharma. The system is a medical grade solution for eye ointments to address the preservatives challenge. The purely mechanical Tip-Seal technology eliminates the need for preservatives and additives, such as silver ions or surface coating. The system does not filter the formulation and secures a metal-free fluid pathway.
