Tsingtao is the most popular Chinese beer, and it is sold in over 90 nations worldwide, making it the most exported chinese beer. It is the second or third most sold beer in the world, depending on the ranking and the year of publishing.

The Tsingtao Brewery was founded by The Anglo-German Brewery Co. Ltd in 1903 in the sea port of Qingdao in North Eastern China. The brewery drew mineral water from the Laoshan spring and used the German traditional brewing methods to make a pilsner.
