At Akras, we’ve been involved with vanilla for now 50 years. Vanilla extract, with its delightful aroma, plays a very important role in the production of food products, bakery and dairy products. Vanilla is the world’s most important flavouring. Our vanilla products are tailored to the taste preferences in a variety of countries such as France, Germany and the USA. Studies show that consumers of the world’s favourite flavour also demand differentiation in the taste meanwhile. For instance, children perceive “vanilla” differently than adults. In response, we have developed corresponding products for specific consumer groups (such as children) and applications (ice cream, pastries, etc.).
