Waldviertler smoked cheese
This handcrafted cheese is one of the classics of DIE KÄSEMACHER. Special to this cheese is its aromatic flavour, from beech wood and its soft texture. The Waldviertler Selchkäse from DIE KÄSEMACHER has been awarded with GOLD for its slight sourness and the smoky flavour within the “Käsiade 2016” and was honoured with the World Cheese Award 2017/18 (bonze medal). DIE KÄSEMACHER semi-hard cheeses are handcrafted, one by one, according to traditional recipes of the Waldviertel, a region in the very north of Austria.
