Zumaya Tempranillo
ZUMAYA Tempranillo is made up of 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes from 25 year-old vines in DO Ribera del Duero. Tempranillo is the outstanding grape variety in this region. The vineyards are located in the slopes of the "Carpio" hill in Fuentespina, a village close to Aranda de Duero, on the banks of the river Duero.
This highly expressive wine is soft and delicious, showing aromas of red and black fruits together with hints of vanilla. The wine ages in American oak barrels for 3 months.
Coming from the noble land of Castilla, Zumaya has named for centuries the Spanish bird bringing freedom to those who lived in the era of masters & servants. As ‘Federico García Lorca’ said in its popular poem ‘Romance de la luna’, seeing Zumaya crossing the sky is an invitation for day-dreaming.
