Biopap
A visionary approach to sustainable food packaging led us over 18 years ago to engineer, develop and produce a range of patented biodegradable and compostable food trays resisting to extreme temperature from -80°c to +215°C.
Today BIOPAP® stands for a unique know-how: top sealable, compostable food trays developed with high tech proprietary materials (BIOPAP® LP, BIOPAP® LC and BIOPAP® MAP) manufactured with innovative and scalable, low energy-consumption technology.
We provide proved and tested solutions (tray, sealing lid and sealing equipment) in high flow production systems such as Warm Delivery, Cook&Chill and Cook&freeze.
Our food containers work at the same time for preparing, preserving, transporting and heating food. They are a perfect example of circular economy: trays and dishes made out of renewable raw materials, used for preserving and eating food, collected in compostable waste without separation, turning then into compost that is used back into agriculture, replacing non-renewable fertilizers. We ideally close the biological carbon loop in a never ending and natural cycle.
BIOPAP® is the result of our long term commitment to sustainability. Our new facilities have been designed by bio-climatic architects, focussing on well-being at workplace with great attention to spaces and lighting by making best avail of natural light through window positioning. The structures are built with natural materials only, such as wood and stone, minimizing energy consumption and the use of artificial light; We only use electric energy from our own solar power plants and from other renewable sources. BIOPAP® main raw material is cellulose coming from well managed certified forests enjoying natural growth, without irrigation, fertilizers and pesticides and preserving bio-diversity.
BIOPAP® Naturally High Tech.
