As a French flavors house, recognised in Europe as the specialist of seafood, Activ International presents a complete line of seafood flavors and extracts in liquid and powder from including fish, crab, shrimp, lobster, scallop, salmon, smoked salmon, clam, mussel, Dublin bay prawn, tuna, anchovy, etc… Due to its ability to design and manufacture both natural seafood ingredients (extracts, pastes, stocks, seafood powders, etc..) and nature identical flavor key bases, Activ International has the ability to answer every industrial request in the field of seafood flavorings.
In addition to this line, the company has developed a speciality in meat extracts and flavors for a variety of food products, spices and seasoning compounds for culinary products and a range of natural colours (red, salmon, orange, yellow) designed for colouring seafood products. The combination to all these flavoring ingredients enables our flavorists to answer every specific demand with an original concept : “the Intelligent Flavors”.
Activ International is also specialised in natural seafood frozen ingredients. The natural seafood pastes and culinary bases from Activ International are primary standardised frozen ingredients of economical interest for all food preparations. The seafood pastes are obtained by physical separation of the meat from the whole fish, shellfish or mollusc. They can be raw or cooked and finely ground.
The culinary bases or stocks are semi-processed products, prepared by cooking the fish or shellfish in a culinary recipe including spices, olive oil, wine, etc… These bases are ground and shells and bones are removed. The products obtained are aromatic pastes. The culinary bases can be adapted on request both in terms of taste and recipe.These products are usually bringing the required quantity of seafood for labelling of the high quality, standardisation and easy processing. In addition to these specialities, Activ International also provides surimi base (fish paste) to the European seafood industry.
The company implemented the first surimi laboratory in Europe, allowing for flavorings, colourings and raw materials used in the production of surimi / flavored fish sticks to be tested at a production scale.
All this flavoring materials, culinary bases, seafood pastes, extracts, flavors and colourings, have been designed for a large number of applications in the food industry including soups, ready meals, surimi products, fish and shellfish terrines, dehydrated foods, sauces, salad dressings, canned seafood, etc…
Besides its activity in the seafood flavors and ingredients, Activ International has also demonstrated for many years its know-how in the designed of nature identical flavors key-bases. These concentrated flavors are supplied both to the flavor industry and to intermediate food products manufacturers, meat flavors (beef, pork, chicken, ham, etc), vegetal flavors, dairy flavors (butter, cheese, etc.).
