Alfi Srl is an Italian family-run company, based close to Venice which invented the pouch pack in 1980 for the vegetable preserves.

Range:

Sun and Semidried tomatoes, quartered artichokes, many varieties of mushrooms, grilled peppers zucchini and eggplants, olives, pestos: all packed in pouches from 1000g to 1700g for the foodservice and for industries (frozen pizzas, ready meals, sandwiches, filled pasta, salads and co-packers for the retail) or 100-150g for retail, deli shops, Cash&Carry and online shops, food box delivery.

According to special agreements, we can also produce tailor-made products with unique recipes and we can work for Private Labels.

 

Quality:

Alfi is well known to be a supplier of only high quality products.

Alfi is able to certify everything that is linked to its activities, from the selection of raw materials to the complete traceability of the products, to the analysis of critical points in the production process (HACCP).

We do every year visits and audits to our most important suppliers.

We are AA+ BRC, Higher Grade IFS, Organic certified and FDA approved. Alfi is a Sedex member.

Halal and Kosher certifications can be easily achieved if we have a real request.

All our products are very natural, made only with first choice raw materials and are completely free from GMO, allergens, vinegar, starch, gluten, monosodium glutamate; so extremely natural. Our 3000sqm new facility, where we moved in on September 2017, is totally allergen free.

 

Packaging:

The very important benefits given by our pouch are certainly a very strong point for us:

• 36 months shelf-life at ambient temperature (from 0°C to 40°C)

• easy opening without the risk of injury and to find metal scraps

• low content of oil (5%) means cheaper transport, storage and waste disposal costs (saving  over 60% per drained kg on these costs)

• better organoleptic values of the product due to the minor stress it receives during the pasteurization which is much shorter of the products in tin.

The daily capacity is 10 tons in a single shift and we are making investments to double it up before the end of 2026. So we have big possibilities to grow our production and we are looking for new customers.

our pouch pack has 95% of product and 5% of oil only. other packaging in our category have 55-60% product and 40-45% oil. other packaging empty are from 150-700g, our is from 5 to 24g on a full truck load we laod +66% of product than our competitors and so we decrease the CO2 emissions per each drained kg of over 60% our pouches are made by alluminum and plastic and are recyclable with plastic.
