Short introduction to the activities of the family business Ambrovics, including two companies Ambropek and Minit Slovakia Our family business was founded in 1991 as a family bakery in Slovakia. We entirely switched to the production and sale of pre-proofed and deep-frozen bakery products in 2001 when acquiring the Slovak and Czech operation of the leading Central European franchise bakery network. The manufacturing of pre-baked products started in 2007. The current product portfolio includes over 160 products ranging from pre-baked breads, rolls to various pre-proofed pastries. Our products are sold within our franchise chain (400 partners) and also to major retailers in Slovakia, Hungary and Czech Republic including Kaufland, Billa, Tesco, Rewe-Penny Market. We have 10 years of experience with supply of major and also middle sized retailers in Slovakia and Czech Republic. We are producing at an outstanding quality thanks to the expertise of our bakers and to the manufacturing machinery of the highest standards on European level. Rademaker from Holland, WP and Fritsch from Germany, Scanico from Denmark – all of them belong to our machinery suppliers. Our products have high added value and are very popular among the customers thanks to their excellent price-to-value ratio. Our factories with a 1100 tones pre-proofed pastry and 1500 tones of pre-baked bread capacity per month is strategically located in South-West Slovakia close to Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Last year we finished one of the biggest bakery investment in Central and Eastern Europe in deep frozen bakery category in our Ambropek factory. The highest and most rigorous food production standards are applied in order to ensure top quality and continuous customer satisfaction – IFS and Tesco audit. Our factory includes a research and development center, thus making both firms an ideal partner for developing new products according to special needs. Our complex service and product offering supports business partners throughout every aspect of their sale: developing, producing and supplying deep-frozen bakery products including pre-proofed and pre-baked products (breads, rolls, sweet products, filled, unfilled), private-label product development and bake-off services.
