AQUA Carpatica

Embracing Transylvania, the Carpathian Mountains of Romania are a majestic range covering 170'000 square kilometers of Central and Eastern Europe. This is a land defined by its endless evergreens. The Land of AQUA Carpatica lies at the convergence of the volcanic Oriental Carpathians with the Bistriţa range, composed mainly of metamorphic rock. The imposing Calimani peak is nearby, alongside unspoiled, centuries-old flora inside the protected national parks and reserves. The springs are deep in forests of fir, pine and spruce trees, isolated from any human or industrial activities

Waste generation is constantly monitored, with an emphasis on reducing the indicator of the amount of waste generated per unit of packaged product through a series of measures: - decrease in weight for PET bottles, (eg: for products packaged in volumes of 0.5L the weight of the preform decreased from 26g to 23g / PET bottle; for products packaged in volumes of 5L the weight of the preform decreased from 96g to 82g / bottle - use of PET with recycling - control of bottling parameters to minimize waste and thus the amount of waste generated Also the quantities of waste are sent for recycling or reuse. We have contracts with suppliers that provide for them to take over the packaging used for delivery (eg canisters, pallets, separators, etc.). The processes of bottling natural mineral water in Carpathian Springs are based on environmental protection rules on the segments - resource consumption, noxious substances, waste generation, prevention of accidental pollution, management of hazardous chemicals. The production lines are state-of-the-art lines with high energy efficiency, fully automated, mostly with dry lubrication (to reduce technological water consumption) and which are below the noxious norms regarding air quality imposed by the Romanian and European legislation in force. In the factory are implemented and certified by the Environmental Management System the programs for accidental pollution prevention with periodic monitoring of risk areas, the program for monitoring and efficiency of energy consumption, the chemicals management program with the elimination of those prohibited by the Montreal protocols (2005) and from Beijing (1999), the waste management program, the monitoring and management program of wastewater discharged into natural receptors
