Introduction
Since many brand lines are available only as clearance stock, secondary brands provide the UK discount sector with core FMCG products. Asvina’s principle focus is to develop our own secondary and private label brands with competitive margins throughout the year. The emphasis is on keen prices, value-added packaging, and an ability to source supply at very short notice. A further business objective is trading in clearance lines of major branded manufacturers.
We also have, and are continuously building, strategic brand partnerships with an objective to have exclusive distribution rights for the UK and Ireland. This will allow us to supply products which do not feature in our own brand range.
The Directors and Senior Management have been involved with all the major discount sectors, mainly as Chief buyers, understanding and developing their buying strategies. They have an extremely good relationship with these companies at Board and Senior Management level.
Product Range
Asvina’s own FMCG brands will aim to consolidate the company’s profitability. Working exclusively with the major discounters our strategy is to introduce core EVERYDAY profitable products. The products range from; hot drinks, confectionary, biscuits and snacks. We have extensive knowledge of these FMCG products having identified gaps in the market. All our products are sourced from highly accredited manufacturers with BRC / IFS certification.
Sales & Marketing
A professional approach to trading with great communication skills. We propose to build further on our strong relationships with buyers and directors to ensure that our products are distributed efficiently, in high volume, into these discount stores.
These discount stores have thrived in the current recession and have seen growths of over 20%, since even AB demographic groups are now entering these discount stores, previously only visited by CD groups. We have now partly helped with investing in licensing, increased our portfolio of customers to include major supermarkets: Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's; Discounters: Home Bargains, B&M Retail, Poundland; Specialist retailers: Aldi, Iceland, Farmfoods; Wholsalers: Booker, Parfetts, Unitas. We continue to grow our UK market but are actively seeking opportunities for export markets.
