Aswaaq

Aswaaq is a retail company founded in 2007 by L.L.C Aswaaq and it is headquartered in Al Mizhar, Dubai. 

It operates 23 stores across the country and it also provides an online shop. 

Aswaaq comprises of more than 1000 employees and its turnover is more than €226.4 million. 

For 5 consecutive years, including 2022, the company won “The Best service performance for the year 2022” in the hypermarkets and general retail sector by the department of economic development. 

It offers a variety of products in different categories:  

• Sweet Grocery: chocolate, candy, waffles, etc.
• Savory Grocery: tice, bread, flour, etc.
• Chilled and Fresh: fish, prawns, fresh fruits, etc.
• Frozen: teady-made pizzas, vegetables, meat, etc.
• Drinks: soft drinks, juice, energy drinks, etc.
• Dairy: yoghurt, butter, milk, etc.
• Personal care: facial care, body care, hair care, etc.
• Household: toilet papers, fabric softeners, detergents, etc.

Special products include sugar free natural tea bags, peanut butter as well as gluten free breads, crackers, organic white quinoa, organic almonds, etc.                                                                                                                               

The company created its private label known as the “Aswaaq Alif label." Some of its products consist of: Alef vegetable oil, alef basmati rice, alef water, alef sugar and many more.

Aswaaq supermarkets are HACCP certified which protects its food safety systems and is also ISO certified. 

The business has a 5 year expansion plan which aims to open 100 stores in the UAE.

In 2022, Aswaaq launched its campaign “Let’s say yes” for the reduction and reusability of plastic bags.
