BEE&YOU was founded by Dr. Aslı Elif Tanuğur Samancı, a food scientist,  and a visionary entrepreneur, after a deeply personal experience. When her son was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, a doctor recommended propolis to support his immune system. However, the products available on the market were either ineffective or lacked authenticity. With her scientific expertise in bee products and her husband’s background in beekeeping, Dr. Samancı began developing a solution in her laboratory.

Raw propolis in its natural state is indigestible due to its high beeswax content. Dr. Samancı developed an innovative extraction method that removes the beeswax while preserving the beneficial bioactive compounds. This method became the only patented propolis extraction process in the UK and the United States, ensuring purity, bioavailability, and clinically proven effectiveness.

Today, BEE&YOU is a global brand offering food supplements and skincare made with sustainably sourced bee ingredients, including its key ingredient: Anatolian Propolis Extract (A.P.E.®). All products are manufactured in a single FDA-registered production facility, BRC, IFS, SEDEX, and Organic certified. Sustainability is growing up in SBS like few years. SBS Scientific Bio Solutions has Sustainability Policy. I cannot share it from here with you because of the standards necessaries. If you need it we can give you this document with controlled copy at the Quality Assurance Office. I think it will be helpful for your article. We don’t have one sustainability certificate, I will explain sustainability processes briefly. (Please remember that if you want to share any information that I give we have to take approval from General Manager Aslı Hanım!) • Firstly we have zero waste certificate. It means that we seperating waste before throwing to the garbage. It is called seperating the waste at the source. We are sending our recyclable wastes such as packages to the recycling factories which have license from the Ministry of Environmental, Urbanisation and Climate Change. We have some hazardous waste these can be laboratory chemicals, printer cartridges, fluorescents etc. We are not disharge or dispose our hazardous waste to the environment directly. We are sending these by licensed vehicles to the disposal factories which have license from the Ministry of Environmental, Urbanisation and Climate Change. • Also we have Green Dot certificate. It means that we are beneficial for the environment. We have environment benefit report. It shows how much we are beneficial for the environment like we prevented cutting 505 trees since 2018. If you want I can share it. We are using recycle sign on the labels according to this certificate. • Sedex Social Responsibility certificate shows that we are aware of human rights, social equality, gender equality etc. It is included to social sustainability. • We calculated our carbon footprint and water footprint for 2023 and we will do it for 2024. Footprint certificates shows our results. It means we are aware of environmental sustainability. According to the results we target decreasing our footprints like new sustainability projects. • We are working on World Fair Trade Organization and B-Corp Assessment, these projects will show how much we are beneficial company for the world. • This year we will prepare a sustainability report with GRI standarts. We are working on banners in the company for increasing the awareness of employees. • We are caring the sustainability in the supply chain. Our most worked package suppliers has FSC and PEFC certificates for packages. Some of them have %100 recyclable certificates.
