Biosfera is a SME specialised in organic cosmetic products. Founded in 2007 in Costa Rica by María Laura Quesada Castro. Biosfera sells its products through its online shop and also distributes to clients such as spas, hotels and luxury retail stores.

Biosfera clients include Four Seasons, JW Marriott, RIU, The Weston, Tabacon, Makanda, etc.

Biosfera also exports to countries like Panama and the US and the company is also aiming to enter the European market.

Biosfera won various awards including the Bid Quality & Excellence Award and the World Quality Commitment Award.

Biosfera offers products in the personal care category which includes face care, skincare, hair care, etc.

The business sells an array of products under its own brand Biosfera which consists of skincare, hair care, a line of skincare products for men, etc. All the products are produced from natural and organic ingredients.

Biosfera also develops products for its clients' own brands.

Biosfera grows its own ingredients and operates its own laboratory. The firm uses ancestral techniques of production and ensures that high quality standards are maintained.

Biosfera works with research and development institutes like Conicit, Inifar and Universidad De Costa Rica.

Biosfera is a sustainable business and when it comes to packaging, the company reuses the same containers. Unused containers are recycled.
