Bodegas Esteban Martin

Founded in 2003, Bodegas Esteban Martín is an exciting, family-run, pioneer in environmental sustainability, innovative winery belonging to the PDO Cariñena. The vineyards, almost 300 hectares, are owned by the family and the three generations of the family are already involved in the daily work. Located at the foot of the Sierra de Algairen, the weather in this area is quite extreme, with very hot summers and very cold winters, in addition to a north wind called Cierzo.

With a production of about 3,500,000 bottles, 90% is exported to more than 35 countries.

The winery is committed to product quality wine and has a deep respect for nature, seeking balance between environment, climate, strain and soil. We use reusable, recyclable, or compostable glas, wood, carton and plastic packaging in order to reduce wasteful packaging. We are pioneer with Ozone spraying in agriculture due to its multiple benefits. Ozone is a natural gas that is in atmosphere and it´s used on the vineyards as an oxidizing and disinfectant agent. It can increase production and output crops, stimulates plants growing to increase nutrients absorption and improve ground quality. It also increases resistance of plants to diseases and insects. This technique don´t use harmful chemical products for environment and is a more ecological and sustainable solution that can reduce negative impact in the ground, water and air. Ozone use in agriculture can improves final product quality and security of food.
