Bolton Group Worldwide is a retail group that is based in Milan, Italy and has been operating since 1980. The company is a subsidiary of Bolton Group which is based in the Netherlands. Bolton Group Worldwide offers food and non-food products and has developed various brands.

Bolton Group Worldwide has expanded over the years by the acquisition of a number of companies producing different types of products. Some of the companies it took over include (but not limited to):

• Exportex: a producer of canned foods

• Manitoba Paper Italia: a producer of household products

• SIE: a manufacturer of canned sardines

• Omia Laboratoires: a business involved in personal care products

• Tri Marine: a supplier of tuna

Nowadays, Bolton Group Worldwide operates 59 offices across the world. The business distributes to supermarkets and perfumeries in around 146 countries. Bolton Group Worldwide also operates 15 plants. 

Bolton Group Worldwide employs over 10000 people. In 2016, the business achieved a turnover of € 1.96 billion. At present, 69 % of its sales are from food items while the personal care category represents 13% of the sales. 9% of the sales are from household products and the remaining from the sale of adhesives. It must be noted that Italy is the main market, representing 34% of its turnover.

• Personal Care: oral care, skin care, face care, hygiene, etc. 

Bolton Group Worldwide offers products from 50 private labels which are (not limited to):

• Prima: a range of sauces, vinegars, ketchup, etc. 

• Rio Mare: a brand offering canned Italian tuna 

• Saupiquet: a variety of canned fish from tuna to mackerels and sardines 

• Smac: a brand of cleaners

• Deox: A range of laundry care products such as detergents, softeners, additives

• Chilly: a brand of hygiene products targeted at women

Bolton Group Worldwide is ISO 9001 certified. Furthermore, the plants dedicated to the manufacturing of food items are ISO 220005 certified and the ones for personal care are ISO 22716 certified. 

Bolton Group Worldwide is concerned about sustainability. All raw materials can be traced back to their origin. The business uses renewable and recycled materials for its packaging.
