Bononia Estate

Bononia Estate is a Bulgarian family-owned winery located in North West Bulgaria on the shores of the Danube River near Vidin in Koshava village and focuses on the typical for this terroir white wines, as well as on the delicate and ethereal red wines. Our young and fast-growing winery was named after an ancient Roman fortress, built in 1st century AD in the region. 

Our history unites 3 centuries of tradition as the original building was established in 1895. Bononia Estate has 160 hectares own vineyards, modern technical equipment & facilities and in 2022 we opened our beautiful luxury wine resort. 

BONONIA ESTATE is a producer of high-quality Bulgarian wine, distinguished by varietal character, purity, airiness and a fine and elegant aroma-taste profile. The wines we make are indicated as PGI Danube Plain. The product catalog includes 5 brands (Gomotartzi, ISTAR, Ooh La la, Bononia Estate, First Vintage), and most of the wines have accolades and quality awards from various prestigious competitions.
