Brio S.p.A. is an Italian company that produces and markets in Europe only and exclusively organically grown fruit and vegetables and some organic food products. It was founded by the Primavera Cooperative, established in 1989, which is a group of organic farmers from different parts of Italy. Nowadays The Primavera Cooperative has almost 90 partner members, they are all Italian organic farmers, and it still controls the whole Group. The Group is composed by Brio S.p.A. (processes and packs fruit and vegetable and researches and markets the general food), Brio France Sarl (sales fruit and vegetables in the French market), Brio Deutschland GmbH (sales general food in North Europe), BDL Trasporti Srl (deals with logistics and transportation across Europe), Terre del Sud Srl (deals with organic production in Sicily) and Biologica 2006 Srl (based near Rome it is specialized in the school catering segment). Brio S.p.A. is checked and certified by the ICEA (an Italian certification body) and guarantees the highest organic quality thanks to its own monitoring and control system. Brio manages all production phases, farming, processing, packaging and distribution, according to the needs of every distribution channel: supermarkets chains, wholesalers, catering organizations, organic food shops and food industry. Brio S.p.A. is also certified by Naturland, Biosuisse, Fair Trade, Demeter and Global Gap. Beyond organic fruits and vegetables, Brio S.p.A. delivers a wide range of general food products. Brio’s general food division selects guaranteed food ingredients to offer high quality and certified organic products as pasta, salami, cheeses, tomatoes sauces and bakery products. Brio general food division products’ present AIAB warranty trademark (Italian Association of Organic Farmers) . This trademark is an additional certification which guarantees the organic cultivation and the Italian origin of all the row materials.
