CarbZone is a Swedish retailer that was founded in 2003 by Tom and Ewa-Lena Hedrup. The company is the only one in Sweden specialising in food products with a low carbohydrate content. The target market for its products are diabetics, bodybuilders and those who are concerned about their health.
Additionally, CarbZone operates several online stores for its different markets in Sweden, UK, Poland, Germany and Finland. In addition to this, CarbZone distributes to retail stores and other online shops. Some of its clients are ICA, Coop, Body Store, etc.
The business reached a turnover of €2.05 million in 2020 and it employed 11 people.
Various products are available under the following categories:
- Savory Grocery: snacks, pasta, tortillas, etc.

CarbZone is also concerned about the environment and has taken measures to recycle all its packaging. In fact, it is affiliated with FTI/REPA. The firm has also been investing in forests in Africa as part of its climate compensating programme. CarbZone is also a 100% climate neutral company.
With regards to social responsibility, the company collaborates with KIVA, an international non-profit organization, in order to aid underdeveloped communities thrive.
