We are Cardowan Creameries and we are manufacturers of an extensive range of bulk margarines, shortenings and bread fats and are one of the few major producers in the United Kingdom still operating as an independent family business incorporated in 1930 and based in Glasgow We also conform to Kosher and we are BRC accredited and are members of the RSPO supplier and manufacturer group.

Our main business is 12.5kg boxes of cake and pastry margarines, shortenings, spreads and Breadfat. We supply mainly in the UK, ROI and the rest of the World. While making trade own label products our brands have never been so popular – Crown, Cardex E, Coronet, Waverley, Matrix, Gamma and our premium range – Sovereign.

Our site in the east end of Glasgow allows us access to the main routes South via M74 and M6 to all the main areas of the UK and the Ports to the ROI and the EU. With constant factory updates and bespoking of products and working with our loyal and new customers has allowed us to create products that retailers are requesting – “Efree”, unsalted, no colourings, etc.
