Carrefour Armenia
Carrefour Armenia is the local operation of the French multinational retailer Carrefour, headquartered in Yerevan and present in Armenia since March 2015, when it opened the country's first international-standard hypermarket inside Yerevan Mall.
The business introduced modern Western retail formats to Armenia, operating large-format hypermarkets anchored in shopping malls — including Yerevan Mall and Rossia Mall — alongside smaller Carrefour Express convenience stores across Yerevan, complemented by an online shop with home delivery.
Carrefour Armenia offers a wide, grocery-led assortment spanning fresh produce, an in-store bakery, meat and delicatessen counters, dairy, frozen and ambient groceries, beverages, and household and personal-care products, with a strong emphasis on fresh food presentation and on imported European ranges that broadened choice in the local market.
The stores carry Carrefour's own private-label lines across grocery, dairy, frozen and household categories, giving suppliers access to an internationally structured private-label programme alongside branded listings. Originally franchised by the UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim group, the Armenian operation transitioned in late 2024 to local franchise management under Food Depot LLC, continuing under the Carrefour banner.
Backed by Carrefour's global sourcing pipeline, international retail standards and modern-format positioning, Carrefour Armenia is an attractive partner for food, beverage and personal-care manufacturers looking to enter or grow within the Armenian market.
