Established in 1985 by Michel Bourel in La Baule, France, Cavavin is a network of local wine merchants operating a total of 170 franchises/cellars, including 155 countrywide.
Cavavin plans on expanding to 200 cellars in the upcoming 2 years.
In 2021, 8 franchises were opened across France. Additionally, 3 openings were reported in Moldova and England.
200 winegrowers have been partnering with Cavavin since the beginning. Over 2000 references are available in the company’s portfolio, consisting of mainly exclusive and authentic products.
Being an ambassador of "French art de vivre ", Cavavin has its operations in Guyana and Reunion, as well as England, Scotland, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ivory Coast, Congo and Morocco.
Furthermore, the business’ local wine merchants advise customers who are willing to discover wines and spirits made in France and other territories.
The number of bottles sold per hour exceeds 1500 and 3.5 million bottles are transported yearly.
Cavavin achieved a turnover of €84 million in 2021, experiencing a growth of 20% compared to the previous year. Moreover, its international cellars amount to 15% of its turnover.
