The group functions as a combination of a purchasing association and franchise network, supporting approximately 180 affiliated independent stores and about 400 additional stores through cooperation agreements. The retail network includes supermarkets as well as cash and carry formats, adapted to local market requirements.
CBA Nord Vest manages a modern logistics center in Satu Mare with around 6,500 square meters of storage space, including 2,100 square meters of temperature-controlled warehouse facilities. This logistics center plays a pivotal role in distributing approximately 3,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) across more than 300 stores in counties such as Arad, Bihor, Cluj, Maramureș, Mureș, Satu Mare, Sălaj, and Timiș. The company owns a dedicated vehicle fleet to support its distribution operations.
Over recent years, CBA Nord Vest has expanded its physical presence with cash and carry stores opened in cities like Satu Mare (2013), Arad (2015), Oradea (2016), and Cluj Napoca (2021). The workforce has grown significantly, now comprising over 200 employees in Romania.
The group distinguishes itself from competitors through commercial policies tailored to the evolving retail environment, including a wide range of own-brand products, focus on temperature-controlled categories, flexible pricing based on quantity, and a reseller loyalty program. This agile approach enables quick decision-making suited to market demands.
Financially, CBA Nord Vest reported a turnover in the range of 10 to 50 million euros as of 2024.
