Coolmore Foods, a privately owned business, was established in 1988, making premium speciality ambient cakes, ambient muffins and frozen pies. We began as a farmhouse bakery producing cakes in the family Aga cooker at our farmhouse home in West Cork, Ireland. Our range of high quality confectionery was originally supplied to restaurants in Kinsale, the gourmet capital of Ireland. As the business flourished we decided to adapt our products for the multiple retail trade, targeting the growing cake and convenience food market. Our products are now sold in Ireland, UK, Holland, Austria and Scandinavia. We are the leading Irish producer in this category. The company has developed rapidly by successfully maintaining "home bake" quality, combined with innovative packaging and a heavy commitment to new product development.
