Coop Slovakia

Established in 2002, Coop Jednota Slovakia  is a consumer cooperative which operates a network of stores.   

There are 30 regional COOP Jednotas including their members, 9 logistics centres and the COOP Jednota Foundation.

In 2021, the company achieved a turnover of €1.6 billion and employs more than 6,000 workers.   

It offers a variety of products under different categories such as:     

• Sweet grocery: chocolate, cakes, pudding, etc.
• Savory grocery: pasta, sandwich, beans, etc.
• Fresh and chilled: vegetables, salmon, fruits, etc.      
• Frozen: croissant, fries, potato dumplings, etc.
• Dairy: milk, butter, eggs, etc.
• Drinks: juice, water, carbonated drinks, etc.
• Household: kitchen towels, toilet paper, detergents, etc.   
• Personal care: dental care, shampoo, shower gel, etc.     
• Wine and spirits: beer, wine, whiskey, etc.

Its private label products consist of:

• Biova: face wash, body lotion, face cream, etc.
• Perun: toilet detergents, home detergents, floor detergents, etc.
• Coop Unity: milk, cheese, yogurt, etc. 

 It also offers premium products such as: chocolate, cream dessert, semolina pasta, etc, under its private brand label ‘Coop Premium.’
