Started by an innovator more than 80 years ago, in 1938, Jack Denman Dean travelled to New York and returned to Northern Ireland with a new material: nylon. With it he created the revolutionary hairbrushes we know and love: Denman Brush. The iconic Denman brand remains a leading light in haircare today. In the 60s, Vidal Sassoon launched a hairdressing revolution that truly established Denman as the must-have hairbrush.

The Denman packaging has transformed over the past number of years with the removal of all single-use plastics, making it 100% recyclable packaging. With our sustainability pledge in place, we have significantly reduced the volume of plastics going to landfill. - Denman is proud to partner with Plastic Bank® to stop ocean plastics while improving the lives of impoverished communities. When you choose Denman, you support the prevention of over 45 metric tons of plastics from entering the ocean. Plastic Bank® members receive a premium for the plastics materials they collect, which helps them provide basic family necessities such as groceries, cooking fuel, school tuition, and health insurance. - Did you know that several Denman brushes are fully recyclable? When it comes to the iconic original stylers (D14, D3, D31) and D6 Be Bop Handy Detangler, these brushes can easily be recycled in the household plastics recycling bin. It couldn’t be simpler! You can then use your brand-new Denman brush knowing you’ve responsibly disposed of your old one and it’s going on to have another life. - Covid-19 and the PPE necessary to stop transmission has created a significant waste problem. Around 53 million single-use face masks were being used in the UK each day* at the height of the 2021 pandemic peak, and finding a way of turning an environmental burden into a manufacturing resource is top of the Denroy Group agenda. Denman’s sister company, DenPro already manufactures FFP3 masks and is now exploring options on how to best recycle used masks.
