Dismay Group is a distributor of hair care and beauty products which was established in Spain in 2003. The company’s clients consists mainly of wholesalers and online platforms but over time, the company has diversified its business and launched various subsidiaries in the hair and beauty industry.  In addition to this, the firm also launched an online shop.

Dismay Group employs 40 people which include a marketing team of 10 people who have an excellent knowledge of the Spanish market for hair and beauty products. The company achieved a turnover of € 20.4 million in 2016. 

Presently, Dismay Group has over 1300 customers in Spain and Portugal. The firm distributes its products in Europe, South America as well as North America. 

Dismay Group offers products in the personal care category which includes beauty, fragrances and hair care products. There are around 35000 references available from over 135 brands.

Dismay Group is also the exclusive distributor for Morgan’s, Novex Embelleze, Tangle,Teezer, Fanola, Perfect Beauty, Bifull,Masglo, Thuya, and more. The business is also the official distributor for mainstream hair care brands like L’Oreal and Schwarzkopf. 

The group helps brands distribute their products by matching them with the appropriate shops and retailers in Spain. Furthermore, the marketing team devises marketing strategies suitable for each brand, bearing in mind the factors influencing the Spanish market. 

Dismay Group has also set up various subsidiaries in the beauty industry:

• Bob Stores: Bob Stores is a retailer of hair and beauty products and was founded in 2009. The company operates 20 stores in Spain. 

• Perfect Beauty: Established in 2009, Perfect Beauty is a manufacturer of electrical tools and hairdressing equipment as well as furniture. Products are sold in Spain as well as abroad. The business manages a warehouse of 1500m2 in Lorca. 

• Creative Hair BCN: The company started operating in 2013 and offers hair and beauty products to over 300 salons and beauty centres.

• Hair For You and H&B: This training centre and hairdressing salon launched in 2016 and currently operates 7 salons in Barcelona. 

• Biutiful Cosmetics: this retailer of hair and beauty products manages 4 stores across Spain. 

• Dualita Cosmetocology: Since 2009, the company has been involved in the distribution of hair care and beauty products to salons and professionals. The company also represents various brands in the Canary Islands.

• BDN Diperco: This business has been in operation since 2014 and is a wholesaler of hair care products as well as fragrances in Spain and Andorra. 

Dismay Group has sponsored charities  and organised events and galas such as the Gala against Alzheimer STS Beauty 2016.

Furthermore, the company  has also been organising events and fairs along with well-known Spanish professionals and chains of hairdressing such as Cebado, Rizos and Alberto Cerdan, magazines, forums and specialized blogs in the hairdressing industry.
