Donnybrook Fair

Founded in 2001 by Joe Doyle and Mary Doyle, Donnybrook Fair is a chain of 5 supermarkets operating in Ireland. Customers also have access to Donnybrook Fair’s online shop. Since 2018, the Musgrave group has acquired Donnybrook Fair but Joe Doyle is still managing the business alongside the new owners.

The chain is known for offering a wide range of fresh products, premium drinks and its constant innovation. 

Donnybrook Fair is not only a chain of supermarkets but also offers catering services for events such as birthdays, weddings or corporate events. The company offers an extensive menu choice to meet its clients’ specific needs. 

A food production facility in Dublin as well as a cookery school is operated by Donnybrook Fair, where it organises classes for adults, teenagers and children. There are also private or corporate classes which can be organised. 

Moreover, the company is planning on launching a food hall, restaurant and bar in Dundrum in the upcoming months. It will be located in a 900m2 space in Pembroke Square.

Donnybrook Fair offers corporate gift hampers for food, fruits, drinks, as well as vouchers and cookbooks. 

In 2018, Donnybrook Fair acquired Morehampton Foods, an artisan food producer which now supplies the firm with fresh produce. 

Donnybrook Fair has partnered with Vhi, a firm that offers Maternity and Baby bundles,  to provide a New Parent’s Food Pack exclusively to Vhi’s clients. The pack consists of 10 healthy meals in order to help new parents. 

Donnybrook Fair has registered a turnover of €27.7 million in 2018 and it employs a total of 239 people, including a team of over 70 chefs and bakers who craft signature dishes as well as classic Irish dishes. The business is constantly revisiting and innovating its dishes. 

Furthermore, Donnybrook Fair was ranked 830th in the top 1000 companies in Ireland.

The products are sourced directly from the vineyards from various countries like France, Italy, Spain, Chile, Australia, etc.

Brands such as Villa Sandi, Col di Manza, Laurent Perrier, etc, are available. 

Donnybrook Fair also offers products under its own label which goes by the name of the company itself. This private label offers granola. 

In addition, Donnybrook Fair prioritizes local businesses but also works with foreign suppliers.
