Back in the 1950’s, in the small French village of Le Bois de la Roche, which is in the origin of our commercial brand, Dubois family has started producing the “classic” Palmier, a puff pastry biscuit internationally appreciated.
With the clear company growth, due to the high quality of its products, quickly has specialized itself gaining notoriety in the production of puff pastries, among which stands out, besides the already mentioned Palmiers, also another puff pastry biscuit known as Paillloline.
In the beginning of the 1980’s, Du Bois de la Roche, taking advantage of the Portuguese economic synergies growth as well, as the existing family ties with this country, has began company’s internationalisation process opening, in the city of Maia, its first production unit, outside French territory, where it is established nowadays the enterprise social headquarters.
With more than five decades of experience, the products manufactured in Portugal have maintained Du Bois de la Roche´s pure tradition. The use of first quality raw materials, strictly selected at the best suppliers, together with our enterprise “savoir faire” in what concerns puff pastries production process (of well-known difficulty due to its particular characteristics), are the main secrets to succeed in transforming a simple recipe into a unique product.
The enterprise policy of continuous investment, modernisation, its Certification of the Quality Management System ( ISO 9001:2008, HACCP and IFS Certifications), has contributed to achieve the high standard demands of the products it manufacters, presenting Du Bois de la Roche as the ideal partner of several European distributors in the production of their own Private Label products.
