Born in 1970, Fileni Group is now the third-placed Italian producer in the poultry industry and the first producer of organically-reared white meat in Italy and Europe.

The Group has got many records over the years: first plant dedicated to ready meals (1989), beginning of organic production (2001), development of ‘no fry’ cooking system (2008).

Respect for the environment and animal welfare is the heart of our commitment. That’s why, over the years, Fileni has been investing in sustainability-oriented technological innovations. 

Fileni knows that real progress and innovation can only be achieved if prompted towards sustainability.That’s why since 2010 we have been firmly investing on environment and technologies that minimize the environmental impact of our industrial process. On the roofs of our facilities, we have installed solar panels with a total capacity of 1.2 MW producing over 1,450,000 kWh per year. Moreover, we are now starting to recover some of our dissipated energy thanks to two powerful co-generators producing around 2 MW electricity and heat per year.

In the next five years, Fileni will be the leading white meat brand in the health food industry and high quality gastronomy. With such respect, we will deploy a joint strategy in order to build our own trading value, and become a reference brand for ready meals for European families strongly oriented towards health and tasty food.

1) In terms of chilled products we have recently introduced Recyclable Paper Trays for our Organic Poultry Range using 90% less plastic than before. Trays are FSC and Aticelca 501 certified. 2) For our Antibiotic-Free and GMO-Free Poultry Range we have introduced the brand new "Mater-BI" tray made of compostable plastic. This packaging (tray, film and labels) can be disposed as wet waste.
